War of the Worlds Movie Poster

It's difficult to imagine a more perfect combination than Orson Welles, Ray Harryhausen, and H. G. Wells. When it was released, this film quickly became one of the most popular science fiction movies of the day. Indeed, it is credited by many film historians with ushering in a new age of alien invasion films much like the countless space operas riding the coattails of Star Wars. Sadly, all known prints of this epic film have been lost due to neglect and mishandling. The only surviving footage is the early proof of concept clip (www.youtube.com/watch?v=tr2H6d… and a handful of relics like this rare poster.
